Chief Medical Residents (Resident Physician Level 4)

There are four chief medical residents each year. One is primarily responsible for the inpatient services at the UCSD Hillcrest. Another chief is responsible for the inpatient services at the VA Hospital. The third is responsible for the inpatient services at UCSD Thornton. The fourth chief is primarily responsible for the ambulatory/primary care rotations and the outpatient clinic services at the VA Hospital and Clinics. All four work together to help integrate subspecialty and consult rotations between inpatient and outpatient sites at each of the hospitals.
